Activists in over 30 countries pile pressure on Governments to back a Robin Hood Tax, as leaders discuss FTT at European Summit
Ottawa (17 May 2012) - The National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) is actively supporting activists from over 30 countries who are uniting this week to pressure their governments to back a Robin Hood Tax.
While income inequality has begun to receive the attention it deserves, CMIS is determined to start a serious debate on the economic development strategy for this country.
Ottawa (16 May 2012) - Canadians for a Modern Industrial Strategy (CMIS) announced it will be bringing together people from labour, business, government and the community who believe Canada's economic success and social well-being depend on a proactive industrial strategy.

Bargaining for PEI health care workers moves forward.
Charlottetown (16 May 2012) - Negotiations continue toward a new collective agreement between the PEI Union of Public Sector Employees (PEIUPSE/NUPGE) and the Department of Health.
