Edmonton (16 July 2012) - Members of the Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE) employed by Carewest have secured mediation dates for October 2, 3 and 4, 2012, almost a year after negotiations began.
In federal prisons, “double-bunking” squeezes more prisoners into jails designed to accommodate one inmate per cell. In Ontario jails, most single cells have been modified to house two inmates, and often sleep three or even four.

Edmonton (12 July 2012) - On June 29, office and clerical members of the Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE) employed by Calgary Laboratory Services (CLS) voted to accept the tentative agreement reached on June 14, 2012.
