Vancouver (1 May 2009) - The Health Sciences Association of British Columbia (HSABC/NUPGE) is urging members to vote for candidates who are strong supporters of public health care when B.C. goes to the polls on May 12 to elect a new legislature.
"We urge everyone to ask your candidate where they stand on the key public health care issues in your community – and to vote for the candidate who supports public health care and public innovation to address our health care challenges," the union says in a notice posted on its website.
A complete list of all candidates in the election is available on the Elections B.C. website. A detailed document outlining the position of various political parties on health care issues has been compiled by the B.C. Health Coalition.
