Talks break down for OPSEU members at the Ontario Agency for Health Protection and Promotion

Talks break down for OPSEU/NUPGE members; arbitrator sought.

The outstanding issues leading to the breakdown of talks include wages and the employer’s desire to alter the existing benefit entitlements.

The bargaining committee is now requesting a “no board report” from the Ministry of Labour. Once the report is issued, discussions will take place between the union and the employer, in an attempt to identify a mutually agreeable arbitrator. In the event agreement cannot be reached, the union will request that the Ministry of Labour assign an arbitrator.

Information meetings will be held for affected members in work locations across the province.
