Members will vote on new agreement on January 28.
Halifax (22 Jan. 2013) – Members of the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU/NUPGE) who work as support staff at Mount St. Vincent University have reached a tentative agreement with their employer.
“We are pleased that the bargaining committee was able to reach a tentative agreement with the employer,” says Joan Jessome, NSGEU President. “Details of the tentative agreement will be released once the members have received them.”
The members of the Local are being mailed the details of the tentative agreement and will be voting on it at Information Sessions held on January 28 between 12 noon and 3:30 p.m. at Vinnie’s Pub in Rosaria Centre.
There are approximately 100 members of the local who provide support services for Mount St. Vincent University. Members of the local work in the Bookstore, Registrar’s Office, Facilities Management, Financial Services, IT Services, Library, Athletics and Recreation, the Print Shop and many other departments at the University.
