Details of the proposed settlement for SGEU's public service bargaining unit are being withheld pending ratification votes.
Regina (27 Feb. 2010) - The Saskatchewan Government and General Employees' Union (SGEU/NUPGE) has reached a tentative agreement with the Public Service Commission (PSC) on behalf of its 10,000-member public service bargaining unit.
SGEU says in a notice published on its website that the parties have agreed to not release details pending ratification votes by members.
"The union will be taking the tentative agreement to its members in the near future," the notice adds. "Further information and meeting dates will be posted as they become available."
The last contract between the bargaining unit and the government expired Sept. 30, 2009. A government release announcing the settlement is available at the link below.
