SGEU public service sector to host appreciation supper for seniors

Regina (17 Oct. 2016) — The public sector members of the Saskatchewan Government and General Employees' Union (SGEU/NUPGE) held its second annual Senior Appreciation Supper on October 16.

SGEU/NUPGE gives back to seniors' community

“This supper is to express our appreciation to seniors for all they have done to make our community, province, and country what they are today,” said Barry Nowoselsky, Vice-President of SGEU’s Public Service Sector.

“We’re very excited to have SGEU/NUPGE host this supper at the Centre,” said Jackie Harrower, manager of marketing at the Regina Seniors Centre. “A lot of seniors can’t afford to have a meal like this. So, it’s a wonderful opportunity for them.”

Musical entertainment for the afternoon was provided by Dennis and Curtis Ficor. SGEU/NUPGE arranged for the says supper to be free of charge.
