They have asked the conciliator assigned to the contract negotiations to issue a “No Board” report which could set the clock ticking on a possible walk-out or lock-out unless a deal is reached.
OPSEU Local 327 President Jane Hoffmeyer said, “It’s been a tough round of bargaining and conciliation. Our 18 members are seeking nothing less than a new contract that is fair and equitable with our peers who are doing similar work at the PCCHU.”

“The union has been patient and creative with its proposals. We remain hopeful that the two parties can return to the bargaining table and reach an agreement before we find ourselves in a legal strike position on September 12,” said Hoffmeyer.
The workers at Peterborough County-City Health Unit include nutritionists, health promoters, infant development workers and dental hygienists.
