OPSEU/NUPGE members look to arbitration to resolve outstanding issues.
Toronto (18 Mar. 2014) — After 10 days of bargaining, and another day and a half of mediation, hospital professional members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU/NUPGE) are now preparing to take a number of unresolved issues to arbitration.
Hospital professionals saw no credible movements to address major issues during bargaining
The Ontario Hospital Association (OHA) did not make any credible movements during this most recent bargaining session. Despite the assistance of mediator Gerry Lee, absolutely no progress could be made towards a negotiated deal.
OPSEU/NUPGE is currently working on a bargaining bulletin that will outline the major outstanding issues going to arbitration, as well as the items that have been agreed upon by the union and the employer.
Information will be sent to affected members shortly.
