Message aimed directly at summit participants - 'Good jobs ... all around the world.'
Toronto (8 June 2010) - The Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU/NUPGE) is taking to the streets for the G-20 summit with billboards and street ads calling for "Good jobs ... all around the world." The summit in Toronto is just two weeks away and the billboards and ads are already in place.
"Narrowly avoiding the security restrictions on new ads during the Summit, OPSEU is bringing its message directly to the attendees at the centre of the restricted access zone," the union says.
The union has three billboards that will be in place until July 15. Two are located along the Gardiner Expressway, visible to traffic coming into the event. The third is at the blocks west of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. OPSEU has also booked three transit shelter ads during the G20 Summit.
