OPSEU/NUPGE strike vote results shows clear opposition to concessions tabled by the employer.
Toronto (10 Dec. 2014) — Strike votes were held across the province for members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU/NUPGE) who are employed by the Ontario government in the public service last week.
Positive strike vote supports OPSEU/NUPGE members' bargaining priorities
OPSEU/NUPGE members voted overwhelmingly to support a strike if a collective agreement cannot be reached. The positive vote acts as a further endorsement of the bargaining priorities and marks clear opposition to concessions tabled by the employer.
The Ontario Public Service bargaining teams will proceed with confidence as they engage in further negotiations with the employer.
