About the conference
Working Toward Bully-Free Workplaces 2014 International Conference will facilitate dialogue among those who are involved with providing employment, training, and education for the next generation of Canada’s workforce. The conference welcomes members of the business community, not-for-profit organizations, occupational safety and human resource professionals, and educators to join the conversation. Keynote speakers are all internationally recognized for their contribution to creating bully-free workplaces and will be addressing the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace.
Attendees can expect the conference to address shifting workplace culture as it pertains to workplace bullying, and the Standard developed and endorsed by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC). There will be opportunities to learn about workplace programs that support the Standard and what’s being done nationally and internationally to create cultural change in workplaces. For example, Nova Scotia is a leader in Restorative Justice and Restorative Practice as one strategy to shift culture and create sustainable change. Networking and open dialogue among attendees will be an important factor of the conference.
