Halifax (18 July 2018) — The Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU/NUPGE) is pleased to welcome its newest members who are employees of the Island Employment Association. They work as career practitioners, career counsellors, job developers, employment support practitioners, IT technicians, information resource specialists, and project managers.

These members help people find a job or explore career possibilities, as well as help people access government-sponsored programs that assist with employment, training and supports.
Island Employment Association is a non-profit organization funded by both the Province of Nova Scotia and the Government of Canada.
The 27 members work out of 4 offices in Cape Breton: Sydney, Port Hawkesbury, Inverness, and Cheticamp.
