NBU reaches tentative collective agreements

"Like all negotiations, there was give and take. We will present these deals to the members and look forward to hearing their opinions." — Susie Proulx-Daigle, NBU President

New Brunswick Union / Syndicat du Nouveau-BrunswickFredericton (04 June 2015) — The New Brunswick Union (NBU/NUPGE) — after extensive negotiations — has reached tentative agreements for two of its bargaining components.

NBU/NUPGE members will be voting on the tentative agreements in the near future

The bargaining teams from Resource Services and Specialized Health Care Professionals negotiated with representatives from the provincial government for the past week. The tentative agreements were reached over the weekend.

The NBU/NUPGE looks forward to the next step in the process which is presenting the deals to the overall membership of these groups, answering their questions and a ratification vote.

"The negotiating teams did a great job and put in some very long hours," said NBU President Susie Proulx-Daigle. "Like all negotiations, there was give and take. We will present these deals to the members and look forward to hearing their opinions."
