Frederiction (26 Feb. 2016) — Three groups of members represented by the New Brunswick Union (NBU/NUPGE) have officially signed new collective agreements with their employers.
NBU/NUPGE members in education and training sector finalize new agreements
NBU/NUPGE members in the consultation and development department at the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC), and members in the Éducation, Consultation et Élaboration department at CCNB as well as the members who work as Industrial Training and Certification Officers (ITCO) in the Apprenticeship Branch of the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour. signed new deals on February 25.
For these members employed at the NBCC and the CCNB, the deal is for five years and three months, from May 1, 2012 through July 31, 2017. The group represents deans, department heads, guidance counsellors, curriculum development officers and program development officers working in the Anglophone portion of the provincial community college system.
The CCNB Éducation contract runs from November 23, 2015, through February 22, 2021. The group represents deans, department heads, guidance counsellors, curriculum development officers and program development officers working in the Francophone portion of the provincial community college system.
The ITCO deal is also for five years and three months covering the period from November 23, 2015 through February 22, 2021. Members of this group run the apprenticeship program for all trades people in the province.
