The New Brunswick government has made serious cuts to sectors like health care which will have a negative impact on the quality of life and access to services for residents across the province.
Fredericton (04 June 2013) – People concerned with the quality of public services, like health care and road safety and timely access to medical procedures will be sending a message to the New Brunswick government today at a public rally in front the provincial Legislature.
Rally to protect public services against government cuts
The New Brunswick government has made some important cuts to various sectors like health care services, highway supervisors, laboratory and medical, paramedical employees and specialized health care professionals. Members of the New Brunswick Union (NBU/NUPGE) will be participating to show their concern for the cuts that impact the service they provide to residents and communities across the province.
Show your support for public services
The rally will run from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. and will include a BBQ starting at noon. Union members and supporters will meet in front of the New Brunswick Legislature at 706 Queen Street in Fredericton.
The union is asking for members and supporters to bring a non-perishable food item for local food banks.
