Union has now reached tentative or ratified agreements with nine agencies across the province.
St. John's (25 June 2010) - Tentative agreements have been reached by the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE/NUPGE) with two more home care agencies.
The union says the proposed agreements affect 280 employees who work with Rosemore Home Care Services and Comfort Home Care.
NAPE president Carol Furlong says the agreements raise the total number of settlements negotiated by NAPE with home care agencies to nine. The latest agreement includes of wage increases, improvements in benefits and contract language. Ratification votes will be held over the coming weeks.
