NAPE reaches tentative agreement with Canadian Blood Services

After a long and difficult round of negotiations, a tentative agreement has been reached with Canadian Blood Services that contains wage increases and improved contract language.

St. John's (22 June 2015) — The Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE/NUPGE) is pleased to announce that it has reached a tentative agreement for 57 employees with Canadian Blood Services Newfoundland and Labrador, St. John’s.

Difficult round of negotiations

“This has been a long and arduous set of negotiations, so we are pleased to reach this tentative agreement,” said NAPE President Jerry Earle. “We were successful in securing monetary increases in wages, as well as several improvements in contract language.”

Details of the tentative agreement will be released to members at the ratification meeting, which is currently being scheduled.
