NAPE members at Purity vote to ratify contract

St. John's, NL (23 Oct. 2018) — Members of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE/NUPGE) who work at Purity Factories Ltd. ( have voted in favour of ratifying a new collective agreement.

New contract brings improvements to the workplace

According to Jerry Earle, NAPE President, the new agreement contains increases in wages and benefit improvements.

“We are pleased to reach an agreement that is acceptable to our members at Purity,” said Earle. “I would like to thank the negotiating teams on both sides of the table for their effort and energy in finding a deal. Our hardworking members at Purity can now focus on creating quality foods, candies, and snacks that are made right here in Newfoundland and Labrador and loved the world over.”

The new agreement is effective as of June 27, 2018 and is set to expire on June 26, 2020.

NAPE/NUPGE represents over 40 members at Purity.
