"i didn't even know all these professions existed, but these people, amazing people gave me my life back."
Winnipeg (24 July 2017) — The Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE) is bringing a powerful, award-winning ad about health care professionals back to airwaves this summer. “
'Woke' tells the story of a man’s recovery from brain trauma and how so many health care professionals — including paramedics, ultrasound, EKG and lab technologists, pharmacists, speech pathologists and occupational therapists — were vital to his survival.
With so many cuts to Manitoba’s health care system over the last several months, the ad is a timely reminder about the importance of the people delivering our care — on the frontlines and behind the scenes. They are all key parts of a system that ensures Manitobans receive the health care they expect and deserve.
The ad will be running online until August 14.
