The workers provide community living assistance to mentally-challenged adults.

While there is no wage increase in the first year of the agreement, members will see a four per cent increase in the second year, with the third year wage increase contingent on government funding. Other highlights include an additional step to the pay plan and the establishment of a weekend premium.

Representatives from the MGEU/NUPGE will now work at getting the agreement finalized and signed, before it's printed and distributed to members. MGEU/NUPGE members at SPIKE are encouraged to update their contact information on the union's website to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract.
