Awards recognize outstanding contributions in the Manitoba Apprenticeship training system
The awards, which traditionally follow Apprenticeship Recognition Week (November 3—9, 2014), recognize and celebrate the outstanding contributions that employers, journeypersons and instructors make to the Manitoba Apprenticeship training system. During the week of recognition, apprenticeship and trade career events and activities are held across the province to raise awareness about the apprenticeship and certification system and celebrate the positive impact that apprenticeship training has had on increasing the number of skilled tradespeople in Manitoba.
Award recipients are nominated by industry stakeholders, employers, colleagues, friends, and family members. The awards also acknowledge the support and commitment of Provincial Advisory Committee and Apprenticeship and Certification Board members.
