The majority of MAHCP members, of the Central Table bargaining units, who voted have ratified the collective agreement.
Winnipeg (Sept. 2011) - On
The MAHCP Negotiations Committee, comprised of Wendy Despins - President, Lee Manning - Executive Director and ten MAHCP members who work within the 22 MAHCP Central Table bargaining units, recommended that membership accept the tentative agreement.
Members from the 22 Central Table bargaining units had the opportunity to consider the employers’ offer and vote to accept, or reject, that offer over the past two weeks. Results of those votes were tabulated with the following Province wide outcome.

Although approximately two-thirds of the MAHCP Central Table membership did vote to ratify the tentative agreement, there are five bargaining units that have rejected the proposed settlement.
MAHCP members from those five units have already been contacted and meetings are occurring with those bargaining units to discuss the concerns they have with respect to the recommended settlement and to develop a plan to share those concerns with their employers.
