London-Middlesex CAS layoff 27 child and youth workers
The London-Middlesex CAS announced the layoffs of 27 child and youth workers as a result of a budget shortfall of more than $4.6 million this year. The layoffs will have a direct affect on the services that clients and their families rely on. OPSEU/NUPGE believes the job losses could be avoided if the province adopted an alternative "transitional funding" formula.
OPSEU/NUPGE is encouraging everyone to attend the rally at noon on August 14 outside the CAS at 1680 Oxford Street East, London, ON.
