Edmonton (16 Dec. 2009) - The Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE) says emergency medical services (EMS) members have overwhelmingly ratified an EMS transition tentative agreement recently reached between their union and Alberta Health Services (AHS).
Results were confirmed following a ballot count at HSAA offices. AHS officials are similarly expected to vote on the agreement in the near future. The agreement was reached Oct. 16. The proposed expiry date is March 31, 2011.
