Workers in Alberta continues to organize against unjust pension attacks. Join the rally to show your support for pensions!
Edmonton (27 Feb. 2014) — The fight to protect pensions in Alberta continues. The provincial government is making costly and irresponsible changes to public service workers pension plans. To maintain pressure on the government, the Alberta Federation of Labour (AFL) is organizing a rally on March 2 at 2 p.m. at Sir Winston Churchill Square, in Edmonton.

The Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE) has been at the forefront of the fight to maintain and secure pensions. People are encouraged to join the rally to show their support for public pensions.
Buses are being arranged to bring people to the March 2 Rally for Retirement Security from Calgary, Red Deer, Medicine Hat and Fort McMurray.
People can book a seat on the bus by calling AFL Organizer Ishani Weera at 780.483.3021 or toll free at 1.800.661.3995. Walk-on passengers will be welcome, however members are being asked to reserve seats by Wed. Feb 26, 2014 so the organizers can make appropriate arrangements.
Information on pick-up locations and departure times will be provided as they become available.
