'The proposed process is unnecessarily heavy handed.' - Elisabeth Ballermann.
Edmonton (27 Sept. 2010) - The Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE) has presented a submission to the province outlining concerns related to proposed regulations for pharmacy technicians in Alberta.
"While HSAA and its pharmacy technician members support and understand the concept and purpose of regulating professionals, the proposed process is unnecessarily heavy handed," HSAA president Elisabeth Ballermann says in the submission.
"Consequently, what might have been an unreserved approval of ... the proposed regulations is markedly tempered. With the greatest respect, we request that these regulations not be approved, pending a more reasonable and appropriate bridging process."
The full text of the submission is available on the HSAA website or at the link listed below.
