What do the November UN climate meetings bode for the Copenhagen summit?
Barcelona, Spain (Thursday, November 5, 2009) - Tomorrow will be the last day of United Nations climate negotiations in Barcelona, Spain prior to the historic Copenhagen climate summit in December. The week has included dramatic moments including a ‘walkout’ by African nations to protest the lack of action from developed countries on agreeing on greenhouse gas reduction targets.
Canada itself has been awarded three ‘Fossil of the Day’ awards on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday for its detrimental and non-productive role in these global negotiations.
