MGEU/NUPGE members accept new contract.
Winnipeg (4 Nov. 2011) - For the past two weeks members of the Manitoba Government and General Employees' Union (MGEU/NUPGE) employed by the Manitoba Agricultural Services Corporation (MASC) as adjusters have been casting their mail-in ballots to accept or reject a new contract.
Ballots were counted on Nov. 2 with a majority of members voting to accept the collective agreement.
The MGEU/NUPGE will now contact the employer and get the agreement finalized and signed before it’s printed and distributed to members. In the meantime, members are encouraged to update their contact information with the union to ensure they receive a copy of the new contract once available.
