This video provides facts and arguments to help us push back against the agenda of cost-cutting that is hurting public services and hurting the province.
Toronto (28 Nov. 2019) — Members of the National Union of Public and General Employees (NUPGE) know that strong public services are critical to the well-being of all Canadians. Sadly, in Ontario, Queen’s Park doesn’t fund these services properly. For a long time, the province spent less per person on public services than any other province in Canada. And now, under the Doug Ford government, things are getting worse.
It doesn’t have to be this way. Ontario has options.
To explore those options, the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA) has produced a new short video, Richer Than Ever. This video provides facts and arguments to help us push back against the agenda of cost-cutting that is hurting public services and hurting the province.
