Wage increases, better shift premiums, special projects, market adjustment and scheduling improvements.
Edmonton (23 Nov. 2010) - Members of the Health Sciences Association of Alberta (HSAA/NUPGE) employed with the Child and Adolescent Services Association (CASA) have ratified a new three-year collective agreement.
The contract, which runs until March 31, 2013, includes key gains in wages which will see members earn a combined increase of 3% in the first year, 2% in the second year and another 3% in the final year of the collective agreement.
Other gains include improved shift premiums for team leaders, special projects and individuals working on temporary assignments, with administration personnel receiving a 2% market adjustment. Important improvements to scheduling and hours of work were also achieved through the bargaining process.
"The tone at the bargaining table was much different during this round of bargaining," says Tony Jones, HSAA negotiator. "We're hopeful this signifies an improvement in our relationship with this employer."
