Edmonton (30 June 2022) — "After 2 years of pandemic-forced delays, months of bargaining and weeks of voluntary mediation, the Health Sciences Association of Alberta's bargaining team has reached a settlement with Alberta Health Services that has been presented to members for their consideration.

“The tentative agreement includes pay increases and a bonus, more than 70 gains negotiated between the parties prior to mediation, and the removal of all rollbacks and concessions originally sought by AHS. The team unanimously decided to recommend this deal to the membership who will have an opportunity to vote on ratification," said Leanne Alfaro, HSAA Vice-President and Bargaining Committee Chair.
“We will be spending the next few weeks engaging with our members about the tentative agreement. A vote on whether to accept it will be concluded by July 25, 2022," Alfaro said.
“The bargaining team has done its job. Now, as always,it is up to members to make the final decision.”
